The Be In The Zone (BITZ) program is a teen driver safety initiative run by the Pediatric Trauma Injury Prevention Program at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. This school-based competition encourages teenagers to create year-long distracted driving campaigns in their schools, focusing on reducing cell phone use while driving. Students develop peer-led awareness campaigns and can submit various creative projects, such as video PSAs or social media campaigns, for a chance to win recognition and prizes.
