Complete the Tennessee Checkpoints program online to create an interactive Parent-Teen Driving Agreement.
Explain the four levels of the Tennessee Graduate Driver’s License Law.
Explain increased potential of injury when employing high risk behaviors while operating and occupying a vehicle (e.g., distracted driving, impaired driving, seat belt safety, and pedestrians).
Questions and key takeaways are provided following each of the videos in the series for the Checkpoints program.
Have students complete the Tennessee Checkpoints online program’s pre-test, view the videos (total of 27 minutes), and complete the post-test. Students will then complete the registration form to begin populating a Parent-Teen Driving Agreement (which works best on an individual family basis, so students will need to have their parents complete the program as well).
Once the Parent-Teen Driving Agreement has been completed, students will receive a Certificate of Completion acknowledging all areas have been addressed.
