Invite a guest speaker through the THSO Speakers Bureau by completing THSO Speakers Bureau Request Form. Select a guest speaker based on your specific needs, focusing on topics such as Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety to cover common street and traffic signs and their appropriate responses.
Identify common street/traffic signs and have students practice what they are instructing within the classroom.
Students will be able to recognize and understand the meaning of common street and traffic signs, and demonstrate appropriate responses to these signs through classroom activities.
Have students color a picture of different traffic signs. As they color, talk about the meaning of each sign and why it’s important to follow them.
Review the coloring sheets and ensure correct colors were used or accurate statements were made.
